Lenovo has expanded its tablet lineup with the introduction of the Tab M11, designed specifically for content consumption and educational purposes. Unveiled at CES 2024, this midrange tablet boasts an 11-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels). Notably, Lenovo has incorporated a 90Hz refresh rate screen into this budget-friendly tablet, enhancing its appeal as a device for reading and note-taking.

Lenovo is adding a new Android tablet to its tablet portfolio, and this one is targeted at content consumption and classrooms. Dubbed the “Tab M11” and announced at CES 2024, the midrange tablet features an 11-inch screen with a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels). Notably, Lenovo has put a 90Hz refresh rate screen on its budget tablet, which is a neat addition given its appeal as a reading and scribbling device.

Available in three configurations, Lenovo caters to diverse user needs with a focus on individual use-case scenarios. The base model combines 4GB of RAM with options for 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage, making it a solid choice for avid video streamers. The top-tier configuration elevates the RAM to 8GB while maintaining a 128GB storage capacity. Lenovo has also provided flexibility for storage expansion, supporting microSD cards with up to 1TB capacity.

To meet video-watching demands, the Tab M11 is equipped with a quad-speaker array tuned for Dolby Atmos output. Lenovo assures users that the display is optimized for high-resolution Netflix content. Powered by MediaTek’s Helio G88 chip and running Android 13 out of the box, the tablet may disappoint some by receiving updates only until Android 15, despite the release of Android 14. However, Lenovo promises security updates until January 2028.

The tablet’s 7,040 mAh battery promises up to 10 hours of video playback on a single charge. Imaging capabilities include an 8-megapixel dual rear camera setup and a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Stylus input support is a notable feature, enhancing the tablet’s versatility.

Lenovo has pre-installed several education-centric tools on the Tab M11, such as Nebo for converting handwritten notes into text, My Script Calculator 2 for solving mathematical queries, and the WPS suite of productivity software. Additionally, a dedicated reading mode allows users to choose between color and monochrome display options.

The Tab M11 is expected to hit shelves in April, with a starting price of $180 in the U.S. market. While international availability details are not yet disclosed, Lenovo is likely to make an announcement soon.
